Burn the Aeneid's Review Of Spotify's Top 100 Tracks

Shock Horror. Some people who actually write are seizing the Tumblr platform to do just that. A rebellion in the blogosphere? Who knows. Either way, the written word on this, without doubt, the most popular blogging interface in this very day and age is something to cherish. At least its not people masquerading as an edgy creative type by copying and pasting pictures onto insertgormlesshipster.tumblr.com(probably exists), or yet more ensuing hilarity in the form of Kim Jong Il photoshopped doing something like, I dunno, exercising tyranny?! Gas craic!

So yes, the best thing currently out there on Tumblr, in my opinion, takes the form of the written word, and is Burn The Aeneid’s delightfully realistic take on Spotify’s Top 100 Tracks. Laced with acerbic wit, but actually, most importantly, simple honesty and decent taste, this is the most entertaining and learned take on the current ugly vehicle that ‘pop music’ now defines itself by. Enjoy. Its far more entertaining than the music itself. Obviously.

(My personal favourites are the Ed Sheeran bits. Its just so true)
